How do I insert a client photo?
Author: Ginkgo Software Support

To insert a photo of a client you must first have the photo available as an image file in the ́Photos " directory within your ClientTracker installation directory. You can obtain an image file by importing pictures from your digital camera, scanning photos using a scanner, or as an attachment emailed to you by your client. Image files typically end with the letters "jpg".

To insert the photo go to the "Personal" page. You will see a box labeled "Client Photo" in the upper right-hand corner of the layout. Click the insert button beneath the box. You'll get a pop-up message reminding you how to insert the photo. Click OK. In the "Insert Picture" dialogue box make sure you check the "Store only a reference to the file" check box. This is very important! If you do not check this box before inserting the photo, the size of your database will increase dramatically. After you have selected your file, click "Open" and the photo will be inserted into the client record. Do not delete the image file from the photos directory. The database only stores a reference to the image file so it is important that the original file not be moved or deleted.
